Rep. Tlaib releases statement on suspicious letter sent to office
SOUTHFIELD, MICH. – U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) released the following statement after one of her district offices received a letter with suspicious powder:
“My office received a suspicious letter yesterday, like many other Members of Congress across the country. My staff’s well-being is of utmost priority to me, and I’m relieved that they are safe. My office has been repeatedly targeted. Political violence and hate is growing and leading to fear that only hurts our democracy, and must never be normalized.”
