Evacuation Support

Right now, several of our families are trying to return home from Palestine, Israel, and Lebanon. My team and I are in direct contact with family members and the State Department and working to get them all home safely. If you know of a family in our district that needs help, please let them know we are here to do everything possible to get the United States to bring them home.

For the latest updates regarding Lebanon’s Travel Advisory and evacuations please see the link below:

Currently, the State Department advises that U.S. citizens depart Lebanon due to the unpredictable nature of the ongoing conflict and recent bombing throughout Lebanon, including Beirut. The U.S. embassy strongly encourages U.S. citizens in Southern Lebanon, near the borders with Syria, and/or in refugee settlements to depart those areas immediately. If you choose to remain in Lebanon, be prepared to shelter in place for an extended period. Keep your passport and other identity documents in an easily accessible location.

U.S. citizens seeking to be evacuated, should complete the State Department’s crisis intake form. When completed you’ll receive pertinent information on steps and instructions for assistance (please make sure to check your spam and junk folders).

Residents should also enroll in STEP to get up-to-date safety and security information.

At this time, commercial flights are available but at reduced capacity. Please check flight options at Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport. Travel within Lebanon is conducted at your own risk. The U.S. government cannot guarantee your safety traveling to airports, borders, or during any onward travel. You should consider your personal security situation before traveling anywhere in Lebanon. Only attempt to depart Lebanon or travel within Lebanon if you believe it is safe for you to do so. The U.S. Embassy may not be able to assist U.S. citizens who choose to remain.
